QUESTIONS

Questions we hear at every site visit

Short answers first. If yours isn't here, call or text (425) 620-2559.

What is resin-bound stone?

Natural stone aggregate mixed with a clear resin binder and troweled smooth over a prepared base. It forms one seamless stone surface, and the gaps between the stones let water pass through. More on the resin-bound stone page.

Does it really drain?

Yes. It is designed to drain: water passes down through the stone instead of pooling on top. How it counts toward impervious cover depends on your city, and we confirm that on every job.

Where can it go?

Pool decks, patios, walkways, driveways, and commercial walks or entries that flood, crack or wash out.

How soon can I use it?

Walk on it after 24 to 48 hours and drive on it after 48 to 72 hours, depending on the temperature. Keep drips, pets and footprints off it while it cures.

How thick is it?

Typically 12 to 15 mm for foot traffic and 18 to 21 mm for driveways and turning vehicles, per the manufacturer's data sheet. Your quote lists the depth for each area.

What does it cost?

Published installed ranges for resin-bound stone run about $11 to $17 per square foot (HomeGuide). Your price depends on square footage, base prep and blend, and it is written area by area on your quote.

Can it go over my existing concrete?

Often, yes, if the concrete is sound. We check the base at the site visit and tell you straight if it needs work first.

How do I take care of it?

Sweep it, rinse it, and use a pH-neutral cleaner when it needs more. Keep dumpsters, car jacks and long-term covers off it. Full steps are on the care page.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. The warranty terms are written on every quote, so you know exactly what is covered before you sign.

Do you work with pool builders?

Yes. Builders add it to their bid at trade rate, our certified crew installs, and the client stays theirs. See for pool builders.

What areas do you serve?

Liberty Hill, Leander, Georgetown, Cedar Park and the greater Austin area.

How do I get a quote?

Book a free site visit or send the form on the quote page. We pour the water test, measure, and send your written quote within 48 hours of the visit.

Will you keep me updated during the job?

Yes. You get a timeline email every Monday until the job is done, plus an update at every milestone. Your builder or designer can be copied too.
